Georgia Exotic Pest Plant Council Annual Conference

"Exotic versus Natives: the Battle Goes on!"


Do you care about protecting our native plant habitats from invasive plants? How can you tell which plants are invasive? Do you want to know how you can help?


GA-EPPC's goals are to focus attention on the adverse effects exotic pest plants have on the diversity of Georgia's native plants and animals; the use of exotic pest plant management to prevent habitat loss; the socioeconomic impacts of these plants; changes in the seriousness of the different exotic pest plants over time and the need to exchange information which helps land owners and managers set priorities for exotic pest plants management.

Dr. Deah Lieurance- University of Florida

Dr. Wayne Gardner- University of Georgia

Dr. Mark Czarnota-University of Georgia

Dr. Kris Braman- University of Georgia

Dr. Mincy Moffett-Georgia Department of Natural Resources


Pesticide credits have been approved for Category 24 - 6 hours commercial and 1 hour private.


Registration: Pre-registration required. Cost is $75 for Professionals, $55 for Master Gardeners and $20 for students. Registration includes lunch, refreshments, door prizes and handouts.
