University of Georgia Horticulture Presents: Landscape Update



This program is designed for the commercial landscaper or ground maintenance personnel and will cover a number of landscape management issues. Topics will include site analysis, planting and fertilizing and identifying nutrient-related problems in ornamentals. We'll discuss basic landscape pests and biological control options. We will also have a section on how to manage turf as well as how to troubleshoot problems in the landscape. CEU and pesticide license credits have been applied for.

11:00-12:00 Getting the Most of Your Turf - Clint Waltz
Proper selection and best management practices of warm-season turf

12:45-1:45 Basic Landscape Pest and Natural Enemies ID - Bethany Harris. Identification of common landscape pests and biological control

 

1:45-2:45 Troubleshooting Common Problems in Landscape Ornamentals - Bob Westerfield
Common issues in landscapes: drought, drainage problems, root rots and aerial blights, mildews


2:45-3:00 CEU Credits
