Purpose
The Georgia Green Industry Association Scholarship Fund was created to promote interest in ornamental horticulture and to encourage the development of outstanding young men and women.
Administration
The scholarships are under the direct supervision of Georgia Green Scholarship Committee and the Board of Directors of the Georgia Green Industry Association. The Scholarship Committee screens applicants and selects the recipients. Committee reserves the right to request personal interview of applicants.
Award Guidelines
Scholarship Disbursements
The recipient will receive a minimum $500.00 scholarship if enrolled in a four-year program. Recipients in a two-year program will receive a minimum $250 scholarship. The Scholarship Committee along with the approval of the Georgia Green Industry Association Board of Directors determine the quantity of scholarships and the amount of each scholarship. Applications will be received each year - there will be no automatic or continuing scholarships. Proof of payment of fees for each semester is required before the scholarship is awarded.
