Important COVID-19 Response Update

Dear GGIA Members,

We have a couple of updates about the Georgia response to COVID-19.  Yesterday afternoon, Governor Kemp signed an Executive Order that extends the State of Emergency through May 13, 2020, along with several other executive orders.  The one of greatest importance to the Green Industry is the extension of the Executive Order to Ensure a Safe and Healthy Georgia (Shelter-In-Place) through April 30, 2020, which allows our industry to continue operations as long as we comply with the safety and prevention recommendations outlined in the order.

The other update of particular interest is the newly released CDC Interim Guidance for Implementing Safety Practices for Critical Infrastructure Workers.  This guidance is specifically targeted to the critical infrastructure workers who may have had exposure to someone with a suspected or confirmed case of COVID-19.  This direction from the CDC allows those essential workers that have been exposed to get back to work if appropriate safety and prevention measures are taken.  For your convenience, both of these resources have been uploaded to our GGIA COVID-19 Resource Center.

As always, we appreciate your continued support of the Georgia Green Industry Association!  Please reach out to us if we can help you through these challenges.  We are working hard on your behalf every day!

All the best,

The Georgia Green Industry Association Team
