Rajesh Vavilapalli
Rajesh Vavilapalli is a PhD student in the Department of Entomology at the University of Georgia’s Griffin campus, Turf and Ornamental Entomology Lab, where he is developing sustainable pest management strategies for the red-headed flea beetle (Systema frontalis), a major pest in ornamental container nurseries. His research explores the beetle’s phenology, feeding preference, monitoring strategies, insecticide resistance, and innovative control methods, including barrier strategies and temperature-based emergence patterns.
