John Reid gained hands-on experience working in plant breeding and nursery operations at Premier Introduction Inc., as well as in landscape management at the State Botanical Garden of Georgia. He has been mentored by Dr. Michael Dirr, who helped him develop a deeper passion for plants and the horticulture industry. Working alongside him has provided John Reid with invaluable real-world experience and insight into the world of horticulture, as well as exposing him to a wide network of professionals in the field.

 

John Reid earned both the Georgia State FFA Degree and the American FFA Degree. During my time in high school, he participated in the Nursery/Landscape Career Development Event, where his team placed first in at the area and state level, and eighth at the national level. He hopes to make a meaningful impact in the horticulture industry one day.
