Lanie Riner has been selected to receive one of the most prestigious honors in agricultural education—the Honorary American FFA Degree.

Each year, the National FFA Organization recognizes individuals who have gone above and beyond in their commitment to agricultural education and youth leadership. The Honorary American FFA Degree is reserved for those who have made a lasting impact on students’ lives, helping shape the next generation of agriculturists and community leaders.

For Riner, this recognition is a reflection of years of dedication to advancing opportunities for young people in agriculture. Through her work, she has helped open doors for students to grow their skills, confidence, and understanding of the industry that feeds and sustains our world.

Riner was formally honored during the 98th National FFA Convention & Expo, held in Indianapolis on Friday, Oct. 31, 2025. Each recipient received a plaque and medal, with their name recorded permanently among those who have earned FFA’s highest honor.

The award serves as a reminder that behind every successful FFA member stands a network of mentors, educators, and advocates—people like Lanie Riner—whose efforts continue to inspire and shape the future of agriculture.
